Mrs. Holmes' Bio:
I grew up as Sheri Wahlmeier in Norton, Kansas and graduated from Norton Community High School. I attended Kansas State University and received my BS in Elementary Education in 1990 and my MS in Elementary Education with an endorsement in ESOL in 2000. I taught MS in Grinnell for 2 years, 3rd grade in Deerfield for 9 years (3 of those years were multi-aged 2nd-3rd), 6th grade in Ellinwood for 3 years, and returned to 3rd grade, for 8 years, one year at 2nd grade, and one year at 4th grade. I coached volleyball, basketball, and track at various intervals for 19 years. I retired from coaching to be able to attend my personal childrens' activities. My family lives in Claflin. I am married to Toby Holmes, HS principal at Central Plain High School. We have four children, Abby a junior at KSU, Breanna a freshman at FHSU, Kylie a sophomore at CPHS, and Tyler in 6th grade at CPMS. Our children are involved in volleyball, football, basketball, track, baseball, dance, scholar's bowl, Renaissance, etc.... We are on the go most evenings, but enjoy when we can take time to go fishing, traveling, or watch a movie together. We also enjoy spending time with extended family. I am excited to be the Director of Library Services this year, and am looking forward to meeting my students and their parents!
